I used to have my hair cut by Andy at Richey’s in Finchley Road some 54 or so years ago! We lost touch and then 30 years ago we found each other again. My sons and I have been having our hair cut at ‘Andy’s’ ever since. I used to joke that I was going to see my therapist because however bothered I was when I came in, I always left happy and calm. Andy had that effect. Always beautifully turned out, Andy was a gentleman in every sense. He was always happy and calm and proud of his family - if he was stressed he never showed it. He cut my hair on his last day at work when it was obvious that all was not well, but nothing prepared me for the shock of hearing of his passing today.
